I enjoyed it. Thought it was very well made. The last 2 episodes made me sad as he was so insecure and made such bad choices... and the AIDS crisis during that time. But it was the truth of his life and portrayed with honesty, the good, bad and ugly. Very well done.

I felt Laura Dern was completely miscast in this role and that the screenwriter wrote a one-note character with no complications. I know there was more to this character as ALL human beings are multi-dimensional and this one must have had a lot going on that would have grabbed us - but never did.
