The movie is about an old topic that's been amply debated but it's superbly acted by even down to the smallest supporting cast. And it's nice to see the streets of London. Movie tourism in the most enjoyable kind. The highlight of the movie you will find though is Emma Thompson's singing and how she connected the movie's theme and bonded all the characters together by her singing it's absolutely marvelous; she should really receive a Grammy for her singing in this movie. Is there anything that this lady cannot do? It's an Oscar nod for Dame Thompson for sure. Everything in the movie is poignantly and yet pointedly presented that makes the movie empathetic and thought-provoking at the same time. The only thing that I wish for is more screen time for Stanley Tucci. He plays Dame Thompson's character's husband and is supposedly heartbroken by the crumbling of their marriage but he only gets like 4-5 scenes in the movie which is a shame and that kind of took away the balance of the movie a bit.
