A strange book. It begins with an interesting but chilling tale of a group of high ranking wealthy Nazis who escape to South America after ww11 - wealthy because of their plundering of Jewish assets. The story includes travel, scientific and religious discussions with the Hermit, murder, love, many quotations from the Bible and a prediction of what is to come for Humankind. I found the book very thought-provoking, and very relevant for us today, with global warming and subsequent disasters, wars, unrest, food shortages and pandemics happening now. We have only to turn to the Bible to read how these things have been predicted in Old Testament Times and reinforced with Christ's teachings. The last few chapters make somewhat sobering reading.
