OMG! This is up there in my top few all time fav tv shows; it has such a unique storyline that I am gripped by. I have one more ep to watch in S1 and I've read that the finale is brilliant. I have had to switch off till tomorrow as I don't want it to end! The show is close to Black Mirror, White Christmas episode. This is a programme that stays with my thoughts while I work and I can't wait to wind down in the evening, shut myself away and absorb myself in it. It is truly brilliant IMO. Can't wait for S2.

It's dark and a slow burner, but gets better with each episode. Acting is great. Can't understand the negative reviews, maybe they wanted instant thrills but this is much deeper than that.

Scottish humour at its absolute best. I grew up in Scotland but lived in England throughout my adult life. This wonderful programme totally takes me back to my childhood. All the characters are brilliantly written. I love them all, but my favourites are Cathy and Christine (who reminds me so much of someone I know). The way she gives a compliment with an insult is just perfect. This is one of the few programmes that we as a family will watch over and over again. My (English) kids and husband love it as much as me. I just wish they'd make more.

Hmm, done two eps, not sure if I will persevere. I am finding it quite ridiculous. A mourning (unmarried) widow who finds humour where most would not. The storyline of the friendly morgue worker who appears to run a support group from the depths of the hospital basement and also takes it upon himself to move bodies in his car is beyond my reasoning of a good drama. Two stars given for the location - it is set in a beautiful house, and also the well known actors do give it some credit.

Gripping from ep 1. Quite stressful to watch at times, but have to go back for more to see what happens. First few eps I could only watch one ep a day as it was very unnerving. Acting is superb, especially from the leading character (Alain) who is so sinister yet captivating. Costumes, location so authentic to the time. I'm on ep 7 now so haven't seen how it concludes. So far, one of the best terrestrial shows I have seen.

It is up there, top five ever, possibly even first for me. It's like watching a car crash before your eyes. Just brilliant. Acting, writing, all of it.

Was I missing something? This film had fantastic reviews but I thought it was ok to goodish. Not good enough though to watch again. Id sum it up with just ok.
