This was promising at first, once i heard they were working on an adaptation of the Wheel of Time series shortly after Game Of Thrones ended I was thrilled beyond words. Having read the books of Wheel of Time as a young adult, I was absolutely enthralled with Robert Jordan’s writing style as well as the detailed world he created. There is not much to say other than pure disappointment in this series. From the cast, to the selection of scenes everyone sees, emphasizing parts of the books for nothing more than cinematic flavor(something I never felt Game of Thrones did despite changing some of my favorite story lines of the book), this just smells like a B movie at best. Some of the actors deserve better in this series, they performed amicably and maybe even some career best performances, but casting was inappropriate to the spirit of the book and also for fantasy genre fans in general. A small village, with 5 different cultures, and not a single unified feel overall? Feels too much like the poorly done Shanarra series…. I would recommend to move on from this, it is not a good representation of fantasy on video. Read the books….
