Well acted, atmospheric and original. Though a little too abrupt.

Well crafted film with plenty of tension and valid, contemporary metaphors. The spaghetti western influence makes it all the more gripping. I agree with other reviews, it felt short and perhaps lacking in character development.

Grippinh atmosphere, good score and some impressive cinematography can't hide the Apocalypse Now rip off and a sense that this film was made to get on the space wagon.

A film that depicts the violence of war to powerful affect. Garfield plays the role well but I found it a little too pondering on the schmaltz and pedestrian on convincing his superiors about his conscientious objection. If you've seen Full Metal Jacket, you'll recognise that all the gore you throw at this film doesn't make up for a lack of psychological tension and conviction.
