It's sad that the number of veteran suicides are so high and I've never been able to understand what goes through their minds. What's so awful that it makes them think this is the only way to make it stop? i felt the stories in this book helped show a glimpse of what some of our soldiers go through, in the midst of fighting and after returning home, the thoughts and feelings that build up from loss, fear, anger, and guilt for something they weren't responsible for but still feel that they were. It made me cry to hear about the loss of brothers in arms, and how some struggled with and overcame the return home. I'm very grateful and proud of not only those who shared their stories here but those who fought and continue to fight to defend our county and our way of life. These warriors that speak out in this book and those that continue to follow in their footsteps are our country's true saviors. I know they don't like to be called heroes, but that's what they are. Excellent collection of sharing!
