Love this "slice of life" film. My Mother was born in 1920 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and grew up in a very poor family and she identified with so much of the hard times depicted in this story. She thought they were better off than her family had been as she was fourth from the youngest of the twelve children and her father drank to escape their sad life. But she and my father rose above their humble beginnings and had a wonderful life. I know because I was luck enough to be their oldest child with three outstanding younger brothers. Inspirational movie of individuals who had character and their moral compass' to guide them to better times.

I have found it engaging. Have thought the acting very good and fits the story line by not being over the top. I have watched the episodes repeatedly and the more I watch the better I understand and appreciate the story and the very intricate culture it is trying to bring to life; I really am enjoying the series and the actors are superb. If you enjoy using your brain you will enjoy the journey to understand the the many pieces of this puzzle tale. It is a feast to the eye and to the twists in the story.
