I find it extremely hard to believe that an anthology on influential artists in history can be published in 2017 and not include one single solitary Black person. Not one. Not even BASQUIAT! Really? This has to be intentional and leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. It's a beautiful book overall which makes it even worse. Shame on you DK Penguin Randomhouse for this complete slap in the face to every artist of African descent to ever attempt to share their experience with the world through art.
