Jean Bostrom

This book was real. I absolutely loved it, because it was so much more than just a story. The characters were well developed and intriguing and interesting so the book was very readable. I learned a massive amount about life in the 30s. Yes it was depressing, but it was a detailed honest description of what life was like for people in the south and west who lived through that era. It was a book that gave me such insight for that time period. It was a lot like Grapes of Wrath, but with a totally different story. I highly recommend this book.
