Having been to Prague and the Eastern Block countries the book reignited my memories and made me get out my photo album.
Prague was not bombed in WW 2 so Tanya was able to revel in it's original beauty and also to reveal the drab blocks of flats built in the Communist era and to witness the comical references to the activities of the secret police. I loved it although her own story was grueling at times. Congratulations Tanya!
