Disney IP grabbing itself and patting itself on the back for it is almost like a bad joke. Yeah, I get it, the animation is good... how could it not be? Disney has bought just about all of their real competition (get clowned on Sony Pictures Animation), they've made movies with sublime animation but lackluster everything-else before (glaring at Toy Story 4), of course their animation will be good but that's like calling a bird unique just for flying. I honestly don't care how good the animation is from Disney anymore, it barely phases me and I'm always grounded by the lack of quality in the other aspects of the movies. Call me homophobic, call me racist, I don't care, I know you're wrong. I enjoyed Encanto and Turning Red and many other Disney movies that got flak for being socially progressive, the socially progressive aspect isn't why I hate this movie. I hate this movie because it took a character I grew up with, cashed in on it as much as they can, made him effectively the opposite of what he's supposed to be, gave us a horrible barely-passable plot, and outlasted it's welcome. If you thought Buzz was disappointing in Toy Story 4, you'll be ready to throw your phone at whatever screen you watch this on.
