the movie is good, it captures the big plots in the book but all the tiny scenes and traits were missed. i understand it'd probably make the movie a lot longer but then it would also make it a lot better. ex: the Sunday finch has dinner with his father, the audience gets to see him and the dinner with his new son affects him greatly. there were some harsh scenes they didn't include, finch going to the hospital needing his stomach pumped, violet pulling his corpse out of the water. etc. my expectations were kind of low and i'm kind of glad because i wasn't upset at the film, but i will always re watch it, to re live the finch and violet experience.
