Doesn't deliver on its key mysteries, and because of this, the pacing seems to drag the series down. Every time we think we are finally going to get an answer something happens to distract the character from delivering those answers. After the 3rd or 4th time, it starts to feel like a carrot is dangling in front of us, but we're never be able to reach it.
This 7 episode, first season feels unfinished (maybe it was cut short because of the pandemic?).
Beyond that, none of the characters are likeable. The cartel people are clichés. The Feds are... just, odd. A lot of the things they the characters do aren't realistic, in my opinion, especially given the circumstances they're in.
I don't know if there's enough here to really warrant a second season for me, because they didn't give me enough to really sink my teeth into the first one.
There are better series to spend your time on. Ozark, Billions, Startup, etc...
