The Fallen series has been my all time favourite for years now and the books are absolutely brilliant. After restarting them a few days ago I came across the movie, I was reluctant to watch it in case it gave any spoilers away that I’d forgotten about since reading them last. But I can say with great certainty that the movie barely covers most of the plot of the first book. It fell flat with the plot being jumbled and not as true to the book as I’d hoped. Honestly such a big disappointment, a story of this scale needs an in-depth, true to the story series where multiple episodes and seasons can be released.
