Sigh. Why open the show with a sex scene? Just why? Nancy Drew has sex. People have sex. We all know this but do we need to see it happening? I'm sure they thought opening with that scene would automatically make fans think of how modern the show is but no. How is the idea of women having sex modern? That's not modern. That's just distasteful to have on this show and it cheapens the characters. Nancy and Nick (whatever his new name is) can get it in whenever but why does the audience need to see it. Logically we all know Nancy must have had sex in the 88 years the trademark has been around at one point in her life. The name 'Nancy Drew' carries a lot of weight among fan but mostly young women and girls. Her character was created to inspire and empower girls since it was created in the 1930's. If the show's angle was empowerment through owning sexuality then I could think of a million less raunchy ways to do that other than a dirty sex cot scene. I'm sure lots of parents got blindsided with those scenes when watching with their kids. Did the people who slapped this show together ever even read any Nancy Drew books, watch any movie adaptations or play any of the PC games!! I wasn't too excited about this from the trailer because it looked really boring but they completely ruined this. They tried too hard to make it like Riverdale or Sabrina but even those shows aren't this bad. They are missing a huge ingredient and that is the essence, nature and tone of Nancy Drew and the characters. They are all bland and have no personality. I swear I saw one person reading from the script. What surprised me the most was that Nancy Drew...the main character resembled herself so little. The only thing they got right was the hair, she loves mysteries and her mom died when she was a kid. Even Sabrina and Riverdale captures each character as they are in the comics for the fan's sakes but as the story goes on we learn more about the character's storyline that the show (not the comics) has created. I found myself tuning out after 20 mins and that was only because I was trying to give this show a chance.. Do better CW. Watch on youtube or play the HerInteractive PC Nancy Drew games instead. Midnight in Salem is coming out soon. I'm going to be completely dramatic and say Nancy's memory is best preserved by sticking to the books or games. P.S- When they make one of the iconic main characters from the books black they just couldn't stop themselves from making him an ex con, right? I am so done!

Too much annoying drama. Tamar sunk to a new low for live streaming her sister's engagement. I was a fan and now am super over the fighting and nonsense. Toni shouldn't cut her family out but she should detach professionally all together. Her eyes look more tired and frustrated despite the lupus. I have been watching the show since season 1 hoping that they would get it together and when the Iyanla ep. happened and everyone was crying and really constructively talking, I thought the hot mess that's been happen was resolved. If anything they are all crocodile tears and I'm just too sick. Tracy is a victim. Seriously, no one told her to have a baby. She decided to carry this baby and move on with life with her husband. Expecting her sisters to stop going after their dreams was lame and it has clearly held her back. It's been 25 years. Stop it. Tamar is a grown baby who thinks literally everything is or should be about her. She is so convinced with her own correctness and blamelessness that she can't listen to anyone or empathize with other people. Towanda seems to always fan the flames of arguments that don't really involve her from the sidelines then when confronted act silent and suddenly monotone while acting confused. I've watched her sisters try to ask her questions or air out their problems with her and if she feels in anyway that she isn't being approached correctly then she shuts down like she is being attacked. Trina is just emotionally exhausted and tired of having the same fight but plays the blame game loyally if she gets with Towanda. The mother only wants to get involved in the conversation when a big dramatic fight is about to happen or has already happened and no one is talking. Off film, they all throw stones at each other and the mother completely over involved herself in Tamar's divorce...I think that is the only time Tamar was humble since everyone kept pointing out how horrible she was to them during their divorces. Toni is the only one who I feel bad for out of the sisters. Maybe it's the fan in me or the oldest sister in me but I would be out and only be visiting for holidays and family events. That stress isn't good. I wouldn't waste my time with this show. Its just pretty depressing.

I love it so much! The whole cast is amazing. I wish Grant Gustin could be the flash in the DC Universe movies
