This series is an amazing, historically accurate look at a few everyday British and Polish characters, their families and how the Nazi invasion of Poland impacted their lives. The character development is a detailed look at society in the early 1940s. Their relationships and interactions are honest, heartfelt and poignant. Easily one of the best works I've seen on television in years.
