Honestly I can't understand how this show got such high reviews. I can understand how it got such high ratings. The hype was huge and the books are epic. The expectations were enormous. That's why I watched anyway. I really want to like it. 14 books was an investment and I truly do enjoy them. I wanted to enjoy the series on something close to the same level. But its just not epic in any way. The story is mangled. I don't mind that it changed from the book so much that I mind that the story is just bad. I hear about the money and the budget but, again, i don't see it. It looks like a lot of low buget sets to me. Very disappointing.
