Yes, the game is buggy and unoptimized, but I am having a blast with the game after 30 hours of playtime, this is another CDPR game that I am in love with. I didn't encounter any major bugs and crashes.
*Do note that I am playing on a gaming laptop with RTX 2060 and I get about 45-65 fps (Ultra settings preset, RTX on but RTX shadow, lighting and reflection off, DLSS Quality)
First, don't expect it to be a futuristic style GTA, it is a First-person Shooter RPG. If you have played The Witcher 3 before, the quest design and storytelling are using the same formula.
You can try to play the Witcher 3 first then play this game after some months later as the bugs and glitches will likely to be fixed already.
Who should play it:
People who love open-world RPG, First-person shooter (WIth the progression system, you will eventually love the shooting, especially with shotguns and guns that will shoot through the wall),
People that love quest with multiple choices that will affect the outcome of the ending, deep character progression system and huge skill tree.
People that love photo mode (Night City is one of the most gorgeous city I have seen in gaming) You are going to have a fun time if you love to take in-game photos.
People that love side quest. In this game, there are a lot of side quest that will affect the ending of this game.
Who shouldn't play it:
People who love to mess with the NPC (Like GTA and Red dead redemption 2) because the NPCs aren't developed well and the Police wanted system is basically broken.
People that don't like looter shooting game (You are going to loot many staff and craft new items with it)
People that don't like to get quest every you go (You will get some quests every you go, especially in a new district. Sometimes, even reading a letter or listen a people talking will trigger a new quest)
People who like to try different hairstyles and clothes that suited you. In this game after you create your character, you will not able to change it again (Hairstyles, face, gender, and the clothes has armor states so you are very likely to dress up like a freaking maniac in Night City)
People who like to experience a linear story game (Games that you cannot change the ending and isn't open-world) like The Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War, etc. (This game has multiple ending and the best part of this game is the side quest, if you don't like to do side quest, you are going to miss out a lot of content in this game)
