Absolutely loved this book. What a tribute to the emotions that are stirred by listening to beautiful music. First read this novel as a library book. Off to purchase it for a friend now, who will appreciate the heights that melodious and memorable classical music can take one to. Far too often, classical music is treated as being old fashioned and passe. However, think about what music is used in films and ads when particular moods are needed to set the scene. Yes - classical music, that has stood the test of time. We should not be hasty in deriding this genre. This book acknowledges and celebrates the beauty and headiness that wonderful music of all kinds, transports & envelops listeners. Very cleverly woven amongst a gentle story about gentle main characters. Although the book slows a little towards the end and Frank needs a push along, it still finishes satisfactorily. Overall, a good read.
