I am an avid follower of Korean movies and television series. I especially like, among others, Yoo Ah--In. I'd been looking forward to Hellbound. With great regret, I stopped watching early on. Not only was the format and script distasteful, the use of the black-faced creature was especially offensive. Here in the United States, "blackface" has serious and painful connotations, and its use, to me, was incredibly insensitive. It seemed to me that the producers and director were trying to make an important statement, but unfortunately it fails miserably. I will not finish watching it. While it is not for me to say, I nevertheless have to say that I am disappointed that Yoo Ah-In agreed to participate.
