It actually gets better with time this game. I finished the story mode which was great fun, now I spend my time exploring all the regions in survival mode [on the easiest mode - Pilgrim] which is just so relaxing and rewarding. It's really something to play a game where once you die, that's it - I've survived over 100 days now and been in some situations where I've been down to my last breath, crawling looking for a cave/firewood/antibiotcs etc - then by some miracle survived. It really changes the way you approach decision making in a game, knowing if you don't plan and just go out all gung-ho, you're risking all those hours spent learning to make fire, hunt, fish, cook, cure pelts, craft clothes and weapons. All that investment of your time creates a really important goal - to survive!
