I was really disappointed with the series. Basically we have two very wealthy white men with only adolescent behavior development. An international motorcycle trip speaks to adventure, engaging with different cultures, trials and tribulations of the trip and self introspection. This series is the exact opposite. As these two have relatively unlimited budget, their money really gets in the way of the trip. At any problem, they simply have staff, money and power to get them out of it.Never do they rely on their own skills and wet to get them out of difficult situations. They have three support vehicles accompanying them on the trip. And again due to their unlimited budget they really don’t have to engage with people along the way. They stay in very nice hotels, they even private air charter their motorcycles over quite might be challenging parts of the trip. This series is really much more about two adolescent teenagers operating around “pull my finger“ mentality.
Conversely the travels of Erik Peters document a much more real life situation of the average motorcycle rider traveling through multiple countries encountering the people, the culture and actually having a great time.
