The disappointment this novel gave me is immeasurable. From the basic plot, to the most basic cast ever and a dull protagonist to come with it, the story was simply... boring. No other words could describe it any softer. I had no compassion for the protagonist, her set-up was plain, her romance aspect was flat and the rest of the characters were just as boring. The whole concept of this book was to explore adolescence, friendship, loss, and the toxicity of fame. I can't deny they did tackle these topics, but again, in the most Wattpad White Girl Fantasy Style ever. The repetition of tropes bothered me to no end, because a trope is only good depending on its setting. I believe this story lacked variety, entertainment, and just wasn't able to fulfill its purpose as an inspiring tale of a rising writer and her downfalls. I don't recommend this, please indulge yourself in other things. I tried my best to sympathize and fall in love with this novel, but it's impossible at this point. The only thing I loved about this book was its cover, the material the pages were made of, and the font size of the text. Writing, the plot, everything the contents of this story had was poorly done.
