Thanks #HULU! This movie was #Genious! From beginning to end it captured and kept my attention. For those of us movie watchers with a short attention span, it isn’t a long and drawn out storyline or plot. Sarah Paulson is by far the one of the best actresses to walk the earth. It’s creative, it’s momma dearest meets misery. I have the foggiest idea as to why Eminem’s verse about how his Mother made him believe he was sick when in fact he wasn’t from “Cleaning Out My Closet”played in my head when the end movie credits were rolling. I would give this movie 10 stars if I could. However, I wish they would have gone a little deeper into the mother’s past. Also, the ending did not sit well with me at all. Every psychological thriller movie always ends up in the “Hurt people hurt people” ideology, which is very true. I kind of wish the movie ended with the daughter (Keira) moving on with her life while leaving her deranged, schizophrenic, narcissistic, mother in the dust. The ending for me lacked a little depth and of course substance. Why is it that she had to live by the eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth? She should have moved on with her life completely as opposed to making it her business to not only visit, but torture and drug her mother up. It was very sad to see her inflict the same trauma on her mother she once received from her.
