THis movie is hard to critique because as a fan of the original you can be over critical of the followup and judge too harshly but at the same time you have this movie built by a classic director that stands against the crap that is flooding the box offices nowadays.... that said This movie was decent. DECENT is the perfect term. It wasn't GREAT. The random exwife constantly chasing BJ with no real substantial foundation and the quick death of the love interest was just so... I dont know... the movie felt like it was trying to be great but the pressure was too much. Even Micheal Keatons titular character of Beetlejuice seemed a little lackluster. I needed a little more energy and a little more well paced scripting from the cast. You'll like it but it could never compete with the original.
The original felt FUN, this film felt forced.
