Good book,
I did not realize this book was part of a series of other books until I had already started reading it, but it does a good job of getting the reader familiar with the characters and their relationships between one another. It has some interesting twists, the story is a rollercoaster. It was good enough for me to want to give another book in the series a shot in the future. Personally I'd give it a 4/5. I just picked up reading again, but out of the past 4 books I have read, it is definitely the best.
The only things that kept the book from being a 5 for me is that I do not speak french, and a lot of the french names of locations etc. in the book were throwing me off trying to pronounce the words in my head. It takes place in Paris for the most part, so I mean it makes sense, but that aspect messed with me personally (a little).
Also the ending was a little confusing trying to understand how it all played out in my head.
**Spoiler**
Whenever Armand goes to save his son. The whole little gunfight had me confused.. I realize Armand had a clip with fake bullets, but what on earth did Armand get shot with? So like half the people there just had fake bullets? Also, what were the SecurForte guards doing? Weren't there others there besides Loiselle? So many questions, honestly, at this point I'm not too worried about gettin the answers lol. Overall though it was good.
