Utter crap.. Won't waste words on the cliche ridden script and awful acting, watch slow horses instead.. or even paint drying, which is still better than this .. the 5 star reviews? Don't people have any judgement left!

lacklustre rubbish, not a patch on the David Saul TV adaptation from back in the day. Clunky script, some poor acting and directing and a finale that totally fails to capture any of the excitement of the book. How is it possible to turn such good source material into something so underwhelming..

How can you take source material as good as this and create something so bland. Slogged through season 1 waiting for something, anything of interest that might resonate with the spectacle of the films, nothing, nil. Every opportunity to create a moment of magic was turned away from, for exciting moments like multicultural DEI hobbits discussing what they're having for tea. ..yawn

A waste of a good cast, full of plot inconsistencies and wait a minute... if you play loud feedback at the monsters they suddenly are incapacitated, oh, and they can't swim either, have I missed anything.. I only watched this one as I thought Cillian Murphy would lift it a bit but he didn't have much to work with. 'Birdbox', despite the obvious ending had much more to offer.

Zombie land it isn't - or 28 days later, thats the problem, it didn't know what it was trying to be, some fun sequences but overall a big waste of budget and talent

Really disappointing, slow and boring. Best avoided!
