Dour with the most depressing LOUD string quartet score - this was 2 hours of my life I will never get back !! It covers the most miserable 3 days over a Christmas and you do end up feeling so sorry for the tortured soul Diana appears to have been but wait until it’s released on TV and you can turn the dreadful music down - art I know is subjective but worthy of a rotten tomato award rather than an Oscar !!! Her depicted behaviour was totally unbelievable - eg the scarecrow and the old house - the more sensitive scenes around her eating disorder were more believable and tragic but this I’m afraid is one to miss. The best scene of the film is her with the boys in the car at the end - and this features the best piece of music in this grim depressing spectacle.
