As a religious person, I'd still even say this movie was horrible. The graphics, the plot (about the 7 deadly sins)... were a little too spiritual for something that's supposed to be a family movie. I mean - no one considers exorcism movies to be family movies, right? No, Shazam isn't as intense as an exorcism movie... but still too intense for kids. I asked my brother not to take my 6 year old nephew to see it... and after my brother previewed the movie himself, he agreed that my nephew wouldn't see it. He also thought the 'demons' were too scary for a little child. I agree. So very age inappropriate. I hear they're trying to do another Shazam. *face palm* No one in my family will be watching.
