I have been a big fan of Sunday morning for many years. I loved when Charles Kulalt told stories of fellow Americans, their uniqueness, successes and talents. I never felt like these episodes where for the financial benefit of anyone and therein lied their integrity and appeal.
I have witnessed the gradual deterioration of this integrity with puff-pieces, promotions and outright salesmanship of concert tours, Celebrity Bios and CBS related TV shows. I was lucky to see 10 or 15 minutes dedicated to somebody with nothing to gain.
But today, for me, Sunday Morning hit a new low. In the piece on Nikki Haley, a political viewpoint, namely anti impeachment, was promoted and proselytized. I can't ever remember a particular political view being expressed in such a blatant way on Sunday Morning.
To the editors, shame on you, somewhere Charles Kualt is turning in his grave.
