I feel like devi is too into boys. In every episode, we see her ogling "hot" guys and flirting, or apologizing after breaking said guy's heart. Having a boyfriend is a cool thing in high school, and so everyone just has to have someone to kiss all the time. It's as if you're nothing if you don't have a bf. Devi doesn't seem to have anything else that's even relatively as important as her high school romance. I wish the show creators also stressed on her ambitions or other creative pursuits. It's not setting a good example of real life and it doesn't make young girls feel like they're meant for greater things in life than stupid boys.
There are a few good things to mention too. There r pple from different racial backgrounds, there r gay students too. I love Devi's relationship with her dad. I love the dialogues of devi.
