It’s a great movie with engaging characters and an interesting story with a bit of a twist. Amazingly I didn’t even register that it was shot in black and white, I discovered that later ! I was so engaged by the story I didn’t notice . Main character Donya is captivating, great performance, go and see it !

Watched it but the final episode was such a damp squid … I mean squib. Inspired me to watch the original series again though.

I love SRK and Kajol and to some extent they don’t disappoint in this film. There are cliches a plenty like the ludicrous fight scenes and the obligatory rain scenes, and lurv wins out in the end of course. Jonny Lever just keeps on popping up and while he’s a good stand up no doubt , another appearance in an otherwise good film with him pulling faces and shouting his dialogue as usual is somewhat annoying. But this film has some even more annoying characters - Oscar the goateed whatever he is , mechanic , rogue ? with THE most annoying contrived accent in the world , ever, really detracted from am otherwise just about scraping it romantic movie, in my opinion. The lavish song scenes filmed in Iceland were spectacular, well done for that. Overall , worth a watch but not a film you’ll fall in love with . DDLJ, Kuch Kuch won’t be knocked off their perch by this one I’m sure. 6/10.

Totally incomprehensible, eventually walked out before end. Admittedly I’ve not seen the preceding Matrix movies so probably going to see this was a mistake. Not sure it’d have been all that clear anyway tbh !

Wanted to see what an Apollo mission and landing on the moon would look like on the big screen over and above the historic footage we have of these events. The action was good and the visuals stunning in parts. The sense of raw danger and discomfort of space flight was well represented. I did find the movie a bit on the slow side however and would not sit through it again . Maybe watching the late screening finishing past 1am didn’t help but it was bordering on tedious it times. But stunning effects / really felt as if I was there on the moon with them. erm .....7/10 for me. Worth seeing if Apollo interests you.

The sugary nice surface was gradually peeled off to expose the gruesome truth. Compelling movie , you could tell it was going to get ..... sticky. Especially when you spot the white robed man holding what looks suspiciously like a giant hammer .... a sort of Scandinavian Wicker Man . 9/10

I was prompted to see this due to the adverse publicity about people walking out in droves due to the violent nature of some of the scenes ,to see what all the fuss was about, but in fact I found it a riveting movie. Dark, ominous, atmospheric, quite disturbing, great soundtrack, the dilapidated surroundings adding to the general air of decay and menace. Joaquin Phoenix was phenomenal in this movie with his portrayal of a disturbed person with a mountain of psychological baggage , his acting utterly convincing. Worth going to see for him alone. Thought he looked familiar, he played the psycho Roman emperor Commodus in Gladiator, another top notch depiction of a complete psycho. The film had nothing to do with Batman I’m glad to say, despite being set in Gotham City. If you don’t mind a bit of fictional gratuitous violence it’s well worth going to see.

Well it’s Kajols debut , a very good one and what a legend she is, but fan of Bollywood movies of that era that I am, this film is basically ludicrous! I mean , laughable in places . Some good songs though I’ll give it that . If you want to see Kajol in her first role then watch this film but don’t expect a classic. It’s watchable but you’ll be howling at some of the cringey moments that pepper this film !
