Book review - The day I stopped drinking milk
'The day I stopped drinking milk' is a book written by a very well-known Indian author, Sudha Murty. It is a collection of real life stories that the author had come across or experienced or heard. The author says that she has shared these stories with the intention of changing or helping someone's life. It is one of the most inspiring books I've read until now.
There are total twenty-three stories, but unfortunately I can't explain them all to you. So I'm just going to sum up all my opinions here and tell you in brief how I liked the book.
The entire book teaches us about the ethical and moral values in life. The first story in the book tells us that gratefulness is much important in life. We should never forget the things, the people or the experiences that shaped us. The reason or the cause of our existence should always be remembered by us. Then there are some other stories that teach us how to be selfless and how to
forgive. And as we all know and have experienced that forgiving is one of the most difficult thing to do in life. But the result it gives is also the one of the most nice feeling in the world. We can say that the bravery is in forgiveness. Some of the stories show us that Integrity, patience and courage and a heart to help are highly important values and behaviours one could ever have.
It's a book that can help every individual reading it to find their way to success and happiness. I'd like to recommend this book to every person I know. And since you've come till here I hope you will read it too.
