Amaran is a well made movie. One of the best movies with the lead character being an army man. Based on the life of an Asoka Chakra winning Major, the movie deftly handles the personal, social and professional life of the Major. The romance between the two lead stars, the family relationships, camaraderie between the soldiers, the life of people in Kashmir and their turmoil are all shown very effectively. Very rarely do the scenes go overboard. Siva Karthikeyan delivers a sincere performance, he has grown as an actor, we can expect better from him in the future. Sai Pallavi is outstanding she literally lives the role, her on screen emotions chokes the viewer. Technically well crafted. Action, cinematography and background music elevate the viewing experience.

Well made and engaging movie. Well written and directed. The lead actors have performed very well. Social issues are weaved into the storyline without being too preachy. Worth your time. Much better movie than many big budget and big star movies.

A refreshing way of telling a story. The performances of all the actors is simply stand out. The story tends to drag in between. The house hunting sequence for example.

What a waste of talent Senseless depiction of violence in this revenge drama set in a caste based backdrop. After watching Asuran this could have been named Asingam. The actors have done a wonderful job, writing and editing is a big let down
