Although The Bear has a few light moments it is certainly not a comedy. It tells the story of a highly dysfunctional family whose battles with mental health issues are tragic, all-consuming and inescapable. Add to that, the family restaurant and its explosive issues that continue throughout the series. You are left begging for peace and harmony among the volatile characters.
The acting is extraordinary, the writing is electric and the grit and perseverance of the
characters to survive in this cutthroat business may be insane but it is riveting.
