Great game in it's current state. Highly recommend if you like procedurally generated exploration, survival, base building, crafting games with first and third person shooter, flight combat and minor puzzle elements. This game can be played In VR, is single and online multiplayer and is cross platform. When NMS first released it was a very boring lifeless game that could only keep your attention for a short time. Since then it has become something truly worth playing after various content and quality of life updates. A game that went from not having anything to do, now has so much to do you have a hard time deciding what to focus on. The game has now become what was promised to us on release. I never got addicted to playing NMS when it released but now that I've gone back to it here in recent weeks, I can't get enough of it. I will say this game is a time hog and If you want to experience the best from this game you have to be willing to invest quite a few hours into it before it reaches it's peak of fun. For example, getting the best tech for your gear, saving money to buy better ships, freighters and frigates. Building multiple planetary bases, building and outfitting land vehicles, exploring dungeon-like derelict freighters, Advancing through the storyline and discovering other players, going treasurer hunting, attempting to reach the center of the universe and many other activities. There is so much to do and it will soak up your time. Be patient with it and it's crafting system and Im sure you'll find something to enjoy in it.
