Power's writing hooks you...and doesn't let you go. Beautiful language, although some of the planetary musings weren't necessarily my thing, they are integral to the story and gave me great pause.
Bewilderment tackles grief, politics, parenthood, science, Buddhism, astronomy, hope, and the dangerous beauty of our world. No small feat and so touchingly delivered.
Full confession, I haven't cried upon finishing a book in so long, and this brought forth a flood. Finished it last night at bedtime, and I had to get up because I was afraid my weeping would wake my husband. Absolutely heartwrenching. Characters that will stay with me for a very long time. I look at the world a little differently today.
