Honestly this is horrible. I give credit to the actors in it. But it of course has nothing to do with the novel. I get they wanted to make a completely different ending, but even the build up to it is knock off. I’m not saying the 90s version was much better, but this is the “Great Value” version. I had so much hope and expectations for the sequel. Chapter 1 was great! Yes it strayed from the book. But in a good way, it replaced the quirky, cheesy effects from the original. The remake to this film has its points, honestly the humor in it alone, is great. But humor is not what it’s about. Both films I found the humor was great, the storyline not so much. I mean the “drowning scene” of Ben and Bev was generic. It seemed like they all faced their “demons”. I was wanting an actual horror movie and it tried to play off the psychological angle with a little paranormal, and a “basket”🙄🙄. If I were Stephen King, I would have been furious how this played out!!
