This movie speaks to us..we can feel the spirit of our ancestors, and all their pain...what slavery did, and its lingering effects on our lives today, our tormented mental health, our struggle to obtain what is the basic for other races. We have reached a ceiling, we passed slavery and segregation, but now we face a invisible barrier, the systemic racism. But systemic racism isn't about bigotry, it's about the absence of truth and
reconciliation, it's about maintaining the status quo and inaction. The continuation of systemic racism in our country doesn't require more bigots, just more people who aren't willing to accept that it exists.
