First of all, although Charlize Theron was in it, I had set the bar around average and was hoping it wasn't a rip off of the shocking Highlander sequel. Btw I loved the first Highlander film. This film, however, like the first Highlander made me want to hear more about their back stories and delve into the histories of the immortals. There was enough to tease interest and the feeling that they were more than a team was obvious highlighting the bond of life, experiences and the effects of immortality which was actually a nice touch. But this is an action film and I thought it delivered, with good fight scenes without going overboard. The bad guy was creepy enough to believe his agenda. The film itself doesn't give much time to pause and leaves enough hooks and questions to hope for a sequel. Overall a recommended viewing. It might even get a second one from me
