This is not the sequel I was hoping for. So far in my play through I have notice that the game is not hard, it's just full of bs and unnecessary tricks. If you lose a boss fight it's to attrition, not difficulty. Bosses are damage sponges, that's it. Eventually you'll blink or you'll get a little glassy eyed because you've been beating on the same boss for 5 minutes and barely got it's hp down to half, and that's when the boss with catch you and kill you. That's not difficulty, that's attrition. There are times when the controls are just not responsive. "Oh, you're trying to dodge? Dodge took a break right now" I mean seriously, I've spammed dodge and watched as I just stood there and got tanked on. And the dark realm...man don't get me started on the dark realm. First off the dark realm strengthens yokai, right? Then why is my character, a yokai, negatively affected by it. Hmmm, guess TeamNinja didn't think that through very well. But whatever. I've said my piece. This is not a success to Nioh. Nioh 1 will always be better than this mess.
