Not only is this mostly faithful to the games and books, but also, it’s fun. Sometimes people forget about that important concept when making an adaptation of something. My mother, who knows nothing about the franchise and usually only watches rom-coms on Netflix, saw this show before me and got hooked on it. Great use of practical and special effects, and some surprisingly non cheesy CG effects. I can’t wait for the next season.
