To be honest, I will NOT give up meat after this movie or any movie at all. From my point of view, they could just let the ALF out of the picture and Mija and Okja still have a great endings. Everyone is selfish and only think for herself, everyone except Mija who gave up the golden pig to buy her friend Okja freedom. To me, the irony is not whether the girl who is not vegetarian yet stop the farming production in order to save her friend but it is at consumerism. People say anything to not feel guilty about their behaviors. If it’s cheap, they’ll buy it. Demand and supply is key in Capitalism. Let see, the ALF could have save Okja and return it to the mountain but they choose not to, all because they could use Okja to expose Mirando Corp. It’s kinda selfish to me.
