It really shows the struggle all great visionaries must deal with to see their vision come to fruition. No one is exempt from this, there is always doubters, money constraints, provincial thinkers, etc. Like the King in Amadeus who critiques Mozart, "too many notes". It also shows that there is always that other person behind the scene who is instrumental in collaborating and "making it happen", and are so often couples throughout history as in the case of Hitchcock. Thus, the love story, back story which is relevant, important and generally unknown. What are you supposed to cover in 2 hours? Well done and entertaining, well acted, especially Scarlet Johansson capturing Janet Leigh and as always, Hopkins delivers.
