Despite some graphical improvements the game is short, easy, and is the first game in the series to cut Pokemon from the game files. Also much of the game's content is locked behind a 20 dollar paywall for Nintendo online. All this for 60 dollars?
If you like Pokemon you're probably going to buy it anyway but if you aren't a hardcore fan you're better off playing one of the other 60 dollar switch games that actually give you a full games worth in content.
