I love this poem. It is raw, has amazing depth and insight. If anyone wants to know what the love of Jesus can be like, major aspects of this love strike into the deep heart of the reader. All too often Christianity is portrayed as a somewhat insipid, narrow and even judgmental kind of 'cloak' with which to wrap oneself and shield oneself from the raw truth of living. A friend of mine once said to me as I was beginning to question the validity of Christian belief: Val, at the very basest level, " Its the best game in town" The Hound of Heaven descibes a love which nothing can control or equal.
