Debbie Breytenbach

The book by the same name (Fiona Shaw - author) on which this film is based is in comparison a masterpiece. I was not able to even finish the film. Story line was butchered, if the screenwriters had stayed true to the dreamy, romantic and expectant atmosphere created so well by the author and if the casting agent and director had actually read the book, this film could have been one to remember. It's a shame.
