Heath Ledger watching Phoenix from the heavens will be saying.. The Legacy of The Joker has been preserved. Dark, depressing, creepy, real. This is what DC is known for unlike Marvel. So they realized they should stick to it. The Dark Knight Trilogy laid the foundation for them. Time has come now for DC to carry forward from there. (Man of Steel and B v S were also good) Phoenix and Ledger's performance can't be compared. Good in equal measure. The movie lived up to the hype and the hype was generated by Heath who immortalized the Joker 10 years ago and Phoenix has picked up the mantle. Oscar deserving performance by Phoenix. DC is now beginning to warm up. 😎
