Loved the movie. Made you think about your own life - are you living it or existing in it, and you're never too old to dream a new dream. Great casting, wonderful acting. Beautiful location. Spoiler: I do wish the ending would have wrapped it up a little more, like showing the changes the hike left on her life, like a SIX MONTHS later scene, maybe her helping out at his hiking store - just living. To see that would have been more inspirational.

Saw the movie Ali's Wedding on #Netflix; the trailer was cute. The movie ended up being cute, as well. Held a nice pace with quite a bit of emotional changes with the scenes not being too long and drawn out. The writing and acting were good, as well. BUT I did struggle with the representation of women in the film. If Muslim women are wanting to be viewed as strong, independent women living in a free country, then this did them no justice and was a poor depiction. And I, an American in her 50's with limited to no knowledge of the Muslim religion and culture, lifestyle and traditions, felt a deep sadness for the young women. The values of love and family and traditions, and the reasons why we should not tell a lie, were there though, as well as humor. It was a romantic comedy. And it was written in and about a culture that you never see onscreen in a positive way, so the challenges were elevated, but they stayed true to their deep love of family and traditions and ended up with a cute movie.

Strong movie. Good acting. Good actors. Good pace. Interesting storyline. Really appreciated the ending. There were a couple of weak points, but what movie doesn't have them? Overall, good job.

Very cute movie. The title says it all. Well written, tight scenes, clean, funny and sad, laughter and tears, good ending. Nice for any age.

Slow. Overrated. The story line is real. Sad what many smart women go through. Just - slow. So slow maybe it lost its impact for us. Best thing was the actress. She's one of the ones that doesn't have to say a word.

The movie was a little slow here and there. Decent plot, strong characters, so you would expect a better ending from a KR movie. I so disliked the ending. Made me feel like I wasted my time watching it. If the character didn't deserve better than a three or four minute quick unfulfilled tragic ending, the viewers certainly did.

I didn't expect to watch the entire movie, but did. It is a charming, warm, feel-good movie.

We really enjoyed this intelligent show. Everything about it. The technical aspect, the relationships, we enjoyed it all. This is canceled but brainless or gory or boring shows are not. I read it was $$$ to make, but the long term potential was more.

The first 45 mins. was one of the slowest movies we've watched, especially a war movie. The story itself was a beautiful story, but the beginning pace was not. The cinematography, acting, and music were exceptional. Because of the awards, we were expecting more - as the trailer depicted - with the only complaint from everyone being the pace. I'm sure it was probably the one-shot effect that made it feel this way. The last minutes were the most gripping.

This series is very well written. It kept a nice pace, great flashbacks, good humor, good fighting scenes, good acting, and excellent music. It's clean and witty with lots of wisdom. We watched three and four shows per evening, and was sad when we got to the finale. Look forward to next season.
